The Indie Wedding Fair is coming to 92 Burton Rd, Sunday 30th April 2017!
This isn’t your usual wedding fair. This is the Indie Wedding Fair, showcasing independent & style savvy wedding suppliers in a chilled, pressure-free environment. Lovely.
Over 40 great, independent suppliers are taking part, including florists, photographers, dress makers, make-up artists, bespoke stationary designers & glitter face painters!
Street food will be available from Smokin Blues, Pie Eyed & Nether Edge Pizza Co. who all offer great wedding packages, plus The Depot Bakery will be open across the courtyard, to share what they can offer weddings at 92 Burton Rd. And of course, there’ll be great chat & tunes to boot.

“Mooching around wedding fairs in the midst of planning my own wedding, I didn’t feel as jubilant & exciting as I’d hoped. Some of the environments were pretty uninspiring; it felt a bit corporate for my taste & I don’t like pushy sales reps or irrelevant businesses being at wedding fairs (…dieting stuff and dodgy dental companies; I’m looking at you!) Needless to say, I was inspired to create an alternative option & The Indie Wedding Fair was born.
I’ve spoken to many now-hitched & engaged friends that feel the same; call us a bunch an old-fashioned hippies but we wanted to find creative, dedicated, quality suppliers that were style-savvy, hot on their knowledge & passionate about what they offer, without feeling like we were in a meat market!
I didn’t want to travel to London or Brighton or elsewhere for this inspiration; I know there are amazing folk right here on the doorstep, many of whom sell through Etsy, Folksy and NOTHS. With so many directories & blogs out there, it can be a bit mind boggling. It’s great to meet suppliers face-to-face to see if you mesh well together.”
